GST Reform : <br />నూతన వస్తు, సేవల పన్ను విధానం త్వరలో అమల్లోకి రాబోతున్నది. బుధవారం జరిగిన సమావేశంలో జీఎస్టీ మార్పులపై వస్తువులు, సేవల పన్ను కౌన్సిల్ చారిత్రాత్మక నిర్ణయం తీసుకుంది. ఇప్పటి వరకు అమలులో ఉన్న 12 శాతం, 28 శాతం శ్లాబ్‌లను రద్దు చేస్తూ, రెండు శ్లాబుల వ్యవస్థ 5 శాతం, నిల్ రేటును ఆమోదించింది. ఈ మార్పుతో అనేక ముఖ్యమైన వస్తువులపై పన్ను తగ్గింది. అయితే ఎంపిక చేసిన 'హానికర' వస్తువులపై మాత్రం అదనపు సుంకాలను విధించారు. ఆర్థిక మంత్రి నిర్మలా సీతారామన్ మాట్లాడుతూ.. ఇది కేవలం రేట్ల తగ్గింపు కాదు, వ్యాపారాలు, వినియోగదారులకు మరింత పారదర్శకంగా, సులభతరంగా ఉండే నిర్మాణాత్మక సంస్కరణ అని వ్యాఖ్యానించారు. ఈ నిర్ణయం ఏకగ్రీవంగా ఆమోదించబడిందని, ఏ రాష్ట్రం నుండి కూడా భిన్నాభిప్రాయం రాలేదని ఆమె స్పష్టం చేశారు. కేంద్రం ప్రతిపాదించిన కొత్త రేట్లు సెప్టెంబర్ 22 నుండి అమల్లోకి రానున్నాయి. <br /> <br /> <br />The GST Council has taken a historic decision by scrapping the 12% and 28% tax slabs. From now, a simplified GST structure with just 5% and Nil rates will be in place.
